    California bans the sale of animal tested beauty products

    California lead the way by becoming the first USA state to ban the sale of animal tested beauty products. The California Senate Bill 1249 was signed by California Governor Jerry Brown on Friday 28th September 2019. In short, this bill bans manufacturers from importing, selling or offering for sale any cosmetics which have used animal testing at any stage of the products development, on or from the date of the 1st January 2020.
